Dog & Cat Boarding Near Spokane, WA

A quiet country lodge for pets who need more than a kennel. Private runs, private play yard time, and owners who live right on the property.

No group play | No behavior test | Family-owned & Operated | Near Spokane, WA

Boarding Built Around Your Pet, Not a Playgroup

At Creekside Pet Lodge, every dog and cat gets their own space, their own routine, and their own pace. We never mix dogs from different households, so there’s no playgroup to join and no behavior test to pass.

That lets us say yes to the pets other boarding facilities may turn away, such as anxious or shy dogs, reactive and dog-selective dogs, seniors, pets with special needs, and cats who would rather never see a dog in sight.

We’re a family-owned lodge on 20 peaceful acres along Otter Creek in Elk, WA, just 20 miles north of Spokane. We’re small on purpose and calm by design.

Made for Pets Who Aren’t the Biggest Fans of Traditional Kennels

If any of these sound like your pet, you’re in the right place:

  • Gets overwhelmed by barking, crowds, or high-energy playgroups
  • Is reactive, dog-selective, or simply prefers people to other dogs
  • Is a senior who needs a slower pace and a soft place to rest
  • Has a disability, a medical condition, or takes daily medications
  • Has had a rough boarding experience in the past
  • Is a cat who needs quiet, not a room full of noise

Outgoing, easygoing pets are welcome too. They get the same one-on-one care.

What Makes Creekside Pet
Lodge Different?

  • Private indoor/outdoor runs

Every dog gets a private 13’ x 4’ run with a climate-controlled indoor side, outdoor access during daylight hours, and an elevated orthopedic bed.

  • No behavior test, ever

Dogs from different households never share the same space, so there’s nothing to test. Your dog doesn’t have to prove anything to stay with us.

  • Private play yard time

Two daily sessions in our secure outdoor play yards, shared only with dogs from your own household. Pools come out in warmer weather.

  • Care that follows your routine

Your pet’s feeding schedule, medications, and quirks come with them. We give most oral and topical medications at no extra charge.

  • Trained, hands-on owners

We’re trained in pet first aid and animal behavior, and we live on the property, just a short walk from the lodge.

  • Clean without the harsh chemicals

Daily sanitation with pet-safe, eco-friendly products, and commercial-grade ventilation keeps the lodge fresh, without the chemical odors that stress pets out.

Meet the Hulls

Creekside Pet Lodge started with Olive, our deaf and blind Catahoula. Whenever we needed to travel, we couldn’t find a boarding facility near Spokane that was equipped to care for her safely. The few places that might have worked were too far away or booked solid.

We knew we weren’t the only family with a pet who didn’t fit the traditional kennel mold. So we built the lodge we wish existed, right here on our own land in Elk.

We board dogs and cats of all temperaments, shapes, and sizes. We also have space for small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs that fit comfortably in our dog runs or cat condos. Just reach out to check availability.

No. Because we never mix dogs from different households, there’s no group play and no temperament test. Every dog gets their own private run and private play yard time. However, pets do need to show proof of vaccinations.

How much does boarding cost?

Dog boarding starts at $55 per night, or $90 for two dogs sharing the same run. Cat boarding starts at $30 per night, or $50 for two cats sharing a condo. VIP packages add daily photo report cards. See Packages & Pricing for full details.

Can I tour Creekside Pet Lodge before booking?

Absolutely! We offer scheduled tours and meet-and-greets so you can see where your pet will stay and ask any questions. Call (509) 866-6055 to set one up.
