How We Make Your Pets Feel at Home
At Creekside Pet Lodge, we believe dog boarding should feel safe, calm, and familiar.
For many dogs, being away from home can be overwhelming. New smells, new sounds, unfamiliar routines—it’s a lot to take in all at once. That’s why everything we’ve built at Creekside is designed to do the opposite: to slow things down, reduce stress, and help each dog settle in naturally.
If you’ve been searching for dog boarding near Spokane that prioritizes comfort over chaos, you’re in the right place.
A quieter kind of dog boarding
Not all dog boarding facilities are the same, and for some dogs, that difference matters.
Many traditional kennels are designed for volume. That often means constant noise, high activity levels, and a fast-paced environment that can be overwhelming, especially for sensitive or older dogs.
At Creekside, we’ve taken a different approach.
We keep our environment intentionally small and structured so dogs aren’t overstimulated. Instead of loud rooms and nonstop activity, we focus on quiet spaces, predictable routines, and calm energy throughout the day.
Because most dogs don’t need more excitement.
They need space to settle.
Designed to reduce stress, not add to it
Every detail at Creekside Pet Lodge has been chosen with your dog’s comfort in mind. You can learn more about our facility here!
From the layout of our boarding spaces to the way dogs move through their day, we prioritize ease and familiarity. Clean, cozy resting areas, simple and thoughtful design, and a peaceful country setting all work together to help dogs feel more at home.
This is especially important for dogs who:
Struggle with anxiety in new environments
Are older or need a slower pace
Prefer quiet over constant stimulation
Have had difficult boarding experiences in the past
Our goal is not to impress with complexity—it’s to create a space where dogs can relax, rest, and feel secure.
Individualized care for every dog
No two dogs are the same, and their care shouldn’t be either.
At Creekside, we take the time to understand your dog before their stay. Their personality, routines, preferences, and any special considerations all shape how we care for them.
That might look like:
A slower introduction to their space
Maintaining familiar feeding routines
Extra patience for dogs who need time to adjust
A calmer, more structured daily rhythm
Some dogs settle in right away. Others take a little longer.
Both are completely okay here. More details about dog boarding can be found here!
A calm and comfortable space for cats, too
While Creekside Pet Lodge is thoughtfully designed with dogs in mind, we also offer cat boarding in a quiet, low-stress environment near Spokane and Deer Park.
Cats experience boarding very differently from dogs. Most aren’t looking for activity; they’re looking for peace, consistency, and a sense of control over their space. That’s why our approach to cat care focuses on minimizing disruption and creating a calm, predictable environment.
Our cat spaces are:
Separate from dog areas to reduce noise and stress
Designed to feel secure, clean, and comfortable
Maintained with the same attention to detail and hygiene as the rest of our facility
We keep routines simple and consistent, allowing cats to settle in at their own pace. Some will explore right away, while others prefer to observe quietly before getting comfortable.
Both are respected here.
Whether your cat is confident and curious or more reserved and sensitive, our goal is to provide a safe, peaceful place where they can relax while you’re away. Additional details about cat boarding can be found here!
A calm, country setting near Spokane
Location matters more than most people realize when it comes to boarding.
Creekside Pet Lodge is located just outside of Spokane, in a quieter, more rural setting near Deer Park. That distance from the noise and activity of the city allows us to provide a more peaceful, low-stress environment for the dogs in our care.
Instead of traffic, crowds, and constant stimulation, dogs experience:
Open space
Fresh air
A slower, more natural pace
It’s a setting that supports exactly what most dogs need when they’re away from home: calm, consistency, and room to breathe.
Built for dogs who need a little more care
Creekside isn’t just a business; it’s something shaped by our own experiences as dog owners.
We know firsthand that some dogs don’t thrive in traditional boarding environments. Dogs who are anxious, aging, sensitive, or simply more comfortable in quiet spaces often need something different.
That perspective is part of everything we do.
We’ve built Creekside to be a place where:
Dogs are not rushed
Care is not one-size-fits-all
And each stay is handled with patience and attention
Because every dog deserves to feel safe—not just supervised.
What your dog’s stay can feel like
When dogs begin to settle in at Creekside, you’ll often notice a shift. They move more comfortably. They rest more easily.
They start to understand the rhythm of their day. That’s the goal. Not constant activity. Not forced socialization. Just a steady, calm environment where they can be themselves.
A place you can trust
We understand that leaving your dog in someone else’s care is a big decision.
Trust isn’t built through marketing—it’s built through consistency, transparency, and the way your dog is cared for when you’re not there.
At Creekside Pet Lodge, our goal is simple: To create a place where you feel confident leaving your dog—and where your dog feels comfortable staying.
